CREUSE NEWS, created in 2007, is a free, monthly newspaper in English. Its aim is to provide a link between British and French people and to help people integrate into the community and way of life here in the Creuse. The newspaper gives information, advice, news of events, clubs, language tips, explains French culture and history, plus recipes and a look at local life.
CREUSE NEWS has grown to 20 pages and its 3000 copies are distributed throughout the Creuse and can be found at outlets such as supermarkets, tourist offices, restaurant, cinemas etc. and also can be received every month by subscription.
Creuse News current issue and past issues can also be downloaded from its website www.creuse-news.com.
You can find lots of relevant and useful information whether it is about business start up or underfloor heating plus readers’ comments and letters, along with local advertisers from restaurants to hairdressers and electricians, plenty to interest everyone.
Both English and French people look forward to reading Creuse News and no-one is more surprised than its creator, Julia Dunbar, by its success. Creuse News has been featured on the local radio, the television and in the local newspaper, for which Julia now writes a weekly column and together with daughter Olivia also presents a fortnightly radio show – all in all quite a media package!
We hope you enjoy reading CREUSE NEWS.
